It's Been Too Long!

Life has not slowed here a bit, but a month's worth of sickness sure has slowed Mommy down! What started out as an innocent cold 5 weeks ago turned into bronchitis/sinus infection, then into full-blown pneumonia. I have eaten more cough drops in the last 5 weeks than I care to ever see again! Now that I'm finally on the mend, it's way past time to get a new blog post up. I did manage to still catch some very cute moments on camera, so get ready for the pictures!
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day here, celebrated by showing how much we love each other! Daddy bought a balloon for the girls, and Mommy cooked a 'gourmet' dinner that we all enjoyed by candlelight at home. The girls got some wonderful gifts from their Granddaddy and Granna in Georgia, and Ella was obsessed with her cards! She calls them her 'books' and hauls them around for days!
Ella is really into simple puzzles right now...and loves that she's doing the 'big girl' puzzles now! She does these pretty much every day when Natalie takes her morning nap. She is very proud of herself, and makes sure that Mommy & Daddy know it! Ella also loves building towers with the blocks, which, consequently, Natalie loves knocking down. That doesn't go over well with Ella, but so far she's survived!
One of my favorite moments from the past month was when the girls were sitting together watching a show one evening, and somehow they ended up sitting back to back...and neither of them got upset that they were touching! It was so precious, and I'm so glad that the camera was handy...goodness knows when that will happen again!

This next picture made poor Gerry cringe...in a very fatherly way! We live close to a wonderful museum, and the girls' Pop-Pop gave them a years membership for Christmas. We have already been several times, and this particular time we went with a friend of mine from church. The museum has a wonderful outdoor area when there are farm animals, wild animals, and lots of science exhibits. The girls absolutely LOVE to go, and get so excited when we arrive. My friend Elizabeth has a son who is 5 years old and a daughter that is Ella's age. We were walking down the path outside, and I just happened to catch this precious moment:
Poor Daddy almost had a heart attack! They grow up so fast...
