Cows and Pigs and Donkeys...Oh My! (Part Two)

When we got to the poultry tent, Ella decided it would be safer to just ride in the stroller and look at the chickens and roosters from her perch. Natalie somehow managed to sleep through the entire trip through the tent, despite the constant crowing of the roosters and clucking of the chickens. I guess it's the blessing of the second baby...she'll sleep through just about everything!
In the poultry tent, there is an area where kids can touch baby chicks and baby ducks. Ella didn't want to handle it, but did end up petting it eventually! She deemed it "FUZZY!"

Of course, the best thing about the fair is the food! We managed to find a great stand with seating hidden behind it, and were able to sit down and relax while enjoying our lunch. Daddy decided that Natalie should have her first hot dog...NOT! He was promptly vetoed, and Natalie had to sit and watch us all enjoy our meals.

Ella loved her hot dog and "fwench fwies", with ketchup...of course! She's tall enough to sit in a big girl chair when we go out, though she's still in a booster seat at home.

A rare picture of Natalie & Mommy...since Mommy is usually behind the camera! She really enjoyed all the sights, sounds and smells of her first fair, and even managed to catch a nap! We had such a great time, and every time we go to get in the car now, Ella will look up with those big blue eyes and say "Fair?". We will definitely be going back for more next year...
