For the last few years, my cousin Tim and his family have come to NC to share their Easter with us (his mom & dad live here...my aunt and uncle). They have 3 daughters, two of whom are close in age with Ella & Natalie. They have the most wonderful time playing together, and it makes me so happy to see them enjoying time with family! Here is one of my favorite pictures from the weekend, when they all slowed down for a few seconds...
Aren't they adorable? Except for Ella and Meredith, all the girls are in descending age order (Meredith is 7 months older than Ella). On Easter Sunday, we all went to church service then back to Ya-Ya's house for Easter lunch and an egg hunt! The girls have so much fun with this every year, especially now that they remember there is candy in the eggs! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.
Ella and Natalie on their way to do the Easter Egg hunt...
Natalie discovers that the eggs contain her favorite...CANDY!!!
Ella looking for more eggs...
Natalie made it clear that no one was to mess with her stash of eggs...and candy!
Once everyone finished, Natalie took it upon herself to check all the eggs for any candy that may have been missed. She was successful, by the way! :)
It was a wonderful weekend with family, and we can't wait to see everyone again soon. Oh, and a week or so later when we were cleaning up the dining room in our home, Natalie found the easter basket with all the empty eggs. She was MORTIFIED to discover that there was no candy in the eggs, and kept asking for more! I guess I don't give the girls enough sugar or something...Nah!
